I received this beautiful fabric ATC in a swap.  Gotta try this technique!  (Wait, gotta get a sewing machine first.)

Matchbox Swap!

Made this little altered matchbox for a swap over at Mail Me Some Art.  I happened to find some tiny bird feathers on a walk recently, and that's how the bird theme got started.  I loaded the box up with tiny bird-related trinkets.

Statues from a Temple

Pictures of beautiful statues taken on my visit to the Buddhist Temple in Niagara Falls, Canada.

In The Pink

 I "painted" this with modelling paste that I colored with acrylic paint.
(Made this for a postcard swap, but I like it so much I might just keep it.)

I cut apart a painting that didn't turn out to my liking and
reassembled it on a postcard to make a frame for the little flowers.

A Trip to the Art Museum

My sister and her husband invited me to join in their "stay-cation" activities this week, and today we went to the Cincinnati Art Museum.  A few photos ...

I just liked these outdoor sculptures.

I love this monk's peaceful face.

Had to go to the gift shop, of course!

My First Altered Tin

I made this "birthday card" from an Altoids tin for my sister's birthday today.  The little girl is from an actual old photo I found in an antique store, and the greeting is from an antique birthday card.  This was a fun project!

Must be Spring!
