Nothing Rhymes With Orange

Here are three postcards done in watercolors & ink for the MMSA "orange" swap.  I know they look kinda pink in the photos, but they're definitely shades of orange.

Under My Parasol

I did these ATC's for the July Blissful Art swap ... the assigned theme was "Under My Parasol."  I just had to include a cocktail with a little parasol in it!

Summer of Color Week 4

A collage for this week's color scheme:  pale pink and charcoal gray.  Fun!

I love pelicans!

Here's an articulated pelican made for a MMSA swap.  This is my first experience making an articulated "doll," and I chose a pelican because I really love those guys!  The fish in his mouth (beak?) is made of a cool shimmery paper, but it doesn't show in the photo.

Busy Busy

I've been busy helping out with my new grandbaby this past week - not much time for art ... so here's a quick little cupcake for the Summer of Color lime green & purple theme this week, done in oil pastels.  (I'd much rather post photos of that beautiful baby girl!)

Summer of Color Week 2

This week's Summer of Color theme is Hot Pink and Orange.  I had fun designing this little bird to fit the color scheme!

I painted this kitty for the citron green and turquoise Summer of Color challenge over at Twinkle, Twinkle, using acrylic paints.  Kinda matches my blog background too!
